Three Things to Remember: Love is Giving #FridayEdition
Good Evening, and Happy Friday to our awesome Online Community!
I hope you all are having an amazing day and getting ready for an even more amazing weekend! At Greater, we are getting ready for some AWESOME events, and I will post them at the bottom of this blog post. As you know, last Sunday, I started a new series entitled “Love is Giving”!
Here are your three things to remember:
- Love is the foundation. At the root of everything we do must be love. As Paul put it in I Corinthians 13, we can speak with the tongues of men of angels and give everything we have to those who are less fortunate, but if we do not have love, we do not have anything.
- We all have an opportunity to impact our communities just as the civil rights leaders did. As we look back on all of the people who have made an impact within our lifetimes, we see that they were able to do so because they were willing to GIVE what they had (time, talent and treasure). We have been given an opportunity to change the lives of the people around us – all we have to do is make a decision to give.
- John 3:16. I cannot say this enough! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Because God loved us so much, He GAVE. We should do the same!
